One of the biggest problems with traders is trying to mix two or three
trading systems together. Each of these strategies may be good in and
of them self. But when you try to mix them you run into problems and
don't even know it.
What we see is someone trying a new system and bringing one or two
indicators for the last system. mixing the two systems together so the
second system does not work. It may not be because the second
system didn't work. It is the fact that other indicators were introduced
that do not work together with the new system.
We wonder why a trader will bring indicators that were not successful
for him in the past and try to mix with another system. This is not fair
to the new system, it is also not fair to the trader.
After a few moves his charts are so cluttered that he spends all of his
time trying to decide if he should take a trade or not. This is analysis
paralysis at it's best.
We suggest to learn one trading system at a time. If you find it not to
your liking then move to a new system but do not bring any of the
indicators with you. give the next trading system a chance to show
how good or poor it actually is.
