Riding the wave is much more rewarding than being hit by it.

You need to look at a trend like a wave. Then you need to learn to read the waves just like the surfers do. They can tell when to catch the right wave and when to wait for the next one. Surfers don’t take every wave that comes along. They wait for the biggest and best waves. It takes time to learn how to read the waves. In the forex market, waves are trends. You need to know which trends to catch and which ones to pass on. It is far better to learn how to catch the waves (trends) then to be buried by them.

You are paid to wait. You should find some good indicators that help you read and determine when a trend is developing. You want indicators that tell you when to get in and when to get out of the market when things are happening. Indicators that let you know what has just happened or already happened are too late.

There are small waves and large waves. The small waves are usually found on the small time frames. The bigger waves are found on the longer time frames.

I have found that a person can make just as much money trading longer time frames as they can trading the small time frames and with a lot less effort.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable Christmas Eve!
